Team Beautiful Feet

When the 15,000 runners line up for the Dallas Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon on March 25, at least 62 of them will be wearing As Our Own racing jerseys.

That’s 62 As Our Own running advocates who are raising awareness and funds in honor of girls like Parul in India. The Dallas race will be number six of the ten included in the I Will Run circuit.

Among our 62 advocates, there are runners coming from five different states. There are currently six groups who have formed teams to tackle I Will Run together—including a youth team of 25!

One group with team name Beautiful Feet has 13 runners (and counting!). They will travel all the way from Arkansas to take part in I Will Run at the Dallas race. The enthusiasm of team leader Kristin Faulk is contagious! She says: “We're so excited to be a part of what God is doing through As Our Own. I work for my church, and I've talked with our staff. On Sunday, January 29, we're showing y’all's videos and doing a church-wide push to sponsor our team as we run. SO EXCITED!”

Kristin’s enthusiasm is matched by her Beautiful Feet teammates. They have each committed to a $750 fund-raising goal, for a total team goal of $9,750. Wow!

If you want to be part of I Will Run as a running advocate for As Our Own, there are six more races to choose from (Florida, Texas, Missouri, Oregon, Minnesota, and Illinois). It’s a great way to get your advocacy in action on behalf of the daughters in the As Our Own family.
